AIESIC KPU

 

AIESEC is the world's largest student-run organization through which students can develop both personal and professional skills by participating in our exchange program or joining our local committee. The result for those that take up these opportunities is an exciting trip through their time at university and a diversity of unparalleled experiences. AIESEC aims to develop leaders and is praised for the development of some of the most exciting post-secondary graduates of today.

Bible Study @ Kwantlen

Drug policy education and promotion of more sensible policies. Movie screenings and guest speakers, canvassing for the sensible BC Marijuana Referendum this Fall.

The CWG brings together aspiring authors, poets  screenwriters, play writes and anyone else involved in Creative Writing to share in weekly discussions, join us in formal readings and have this work reviewed by their peers.

Criminology Student Society (CSS)

The CSS provides Kwantlen students with a variety of events and services, including career and volutneer information, movie nights, course study sessions, and other campus activities related to the field of criminal justice, law, community and restorative justice. We will help and encourage students to network and engage with others whom have similar interests within criminology and other interdisciplinary avenues. Events throughout the year will revolve around prison tours, volunteering at Jen's Kitchen, speakers series and pub nights among others.

Counselling & Education Student Club (CESC)


To foster opportunities for students to connect and engage with each other around a common discipline. Provide information and resources regarding the field of counseling, requirements for entrance to professional and graduate programs in counselling psychology. Provide opportunities for professional and community partners to speak to and address current issues in counselling.

KHRMC aims to serve the needs of both Kwantlen Human Resources students, as well as non-Human Resources students interested in the field of HR. Kwantlen Model United Nations (KMUN) 
 

The purpose of the Kwantlen Model United Nations club is to educate students about the operations of the United Nations through intense debates, teamwork, and diplomatic relations. It is designed to improve and develop students' academic, practical, and life skills by informing them about the complexities of international relations and current events, in an interactive and hands-on environment.

Kwantlen University Policy for Students for Sustainability 

 

This is a student-led society open to any student or faculty member from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. KUPSS was developed to focus on increasing student involvement and mobilization towards sustainable policy issues. KUPSS also aims to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of individual members in all fields, particularly in Policy Studies, and to advance interdisciplinary studies in public policy.

Kwantlen Marketing Association

 

The Kwantlen Marketing Association (KMA) is a non for profit, student organized and governed club, which practices a small business model. The purpose of the KMA is to create a community within Kwantlen Polytechnic University where students interested in marketing can engage each other, while getting linked with industry professionals. KMA gives real world opportunities to increase interpersonal, management, teamwork and leadership skills. The KMA organizes events that will open doors for future career advancement such as networking & speaker series, luncheons and industry tours in Downtown, Vancouver. These events allow KMA members direct access to a pool of professionals in the industry.

 

The KMA is partnered with BCAIM (British Columbia’s Association of Integrated Markers) which is the official BC chapter of the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA). BCAIM promotes ethical and effective marketing in BC by providing members with the education and networking support they need to succeed in the industry. This partnership provides KMA members to exclusive membership to BCAIM. In addition to that, KMA members have exclusive access to BCAIM content that includes keynote speeches, articles, volunteer & job postings.

Kwantlen Psychology Society 
 

The KPS student organization creates an inclusive learning community. We hold events that foster discussion, critical inquiry, and creativity among undergraduate students. The KPS also encourages students to get involved in their own academic growth. We provide opportunities for students to interact with one another and with instructors outside of class time. Our goal is to help students develop academically - beyond attending classes.

Kwantlen Student Nursing Assocation

 

The Kwantlen Student Nursing Association (KSNA) is a student run organization this is composed of BSN and BPN students, of all semesters. The purpose of the KSNA is to create a network for all nursing students at Kwantlen to communicate and share their experiences and advice across all semesters and programs. This will be accomplished through meetings, social and fundraising events, as well as a website designed for nursing students. The goal of the KSNA is to provide support, mentorship, and leadership opportunities to nursing students, as well as work towards becoming members of the Canadian Nursing Student Association. The KSNA will give students an opportunity to have their voice heard and to facilitate nusing students' journey at Kwantlen.

Protectores Vitae 

 

Protectores Vitae exists to educate students about life issues, specifically abortion, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, and assisted suicide. It will also train and equip club members to effectively speak on these life issues in open dialogue. Finally, the Club aims to generate support for, and provide positive alternatives for pregnant women and post-abortive women. In short, Protectores Vitae wishes to provide the Kwantlen community with more perspectives on life issues and to create a friendly supportive network for pregnant women.

WooW aims to bring awareness to the Kwantlen community to areas where women are underrepresented, create discussion on why women are underrepresented ad create opportunities to bridge that gap.

Young Women in Business (YWiB)

 

YWiB will be holding workships and social events geared towards preparing members for the future. Workshops will include, but are not limited to, building strong cover letters and resumes, networking skills, interview skills, tax preparation and stress management. There will be workshops that will inspire and teach members on how they can start and manage their own business. Social events will prepare members for networking events they will encounter and allow them to relax. YWiB will occasionally provide internship, mentorship and volunteer opportunities.
